UPSA holds the 2023 entrepreneurship fair and exhibition to empower students about the job market

As part of the effort to empower the youth particularly students in the fields of entrepreneurship after tertiary education, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has organized the 2023 Entrepreneurship Fair and exhibition in Accra.

The Fair is under the theme “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: The Fulcrum of Hope for Sustainable Jobs and Wealth Creation and is supported by UPSA Enterprise and Innovation Centre (UEIC), Student Representative Council (SRC), and ACBSP Accredited.

In an address, Mr. Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suku Technologies expressed his gratitude to students for the massive attendance saying the gesture shows the passion and interest in entrepreneurship.

According to him, entrepreneurs have become the lead force in most working jurisdictions and require innovation, research, and value addition to goods and services which gives a competitive edge over others in the World of Work (WoWs).

He however advised students to explore other job avenues besides white-collar jobs and explained that the formal sector has put a freeze on employment and again advised that people must engage in self-employment in relation to goods and services that are demand driven.

Mr. Tsonam Akpeloo challenged students to study the emerging trends and dynamics in the job market and engage in a sustainable job that will enable them to create wealth adding that networking in the entrepreneurship space is key to growth and development in institutions.

Management of UPSA commended the organizers for putting up such a brilliant program and explained that entrepreneurs stand out in every working endeavour and are the driving force of the country’s socio-economic development.

According to them, entrepreneurship creates an opportunity for people to be self-independent in all working spaces, generate employment, create wealth, and are less dependent on the government in seeking jobs.

In a related development, Panellists at the programme advised students to tap into the entrepreneurial space and urged them to take advantage of the numerous opportunities and market potentials.

According to them, the global market is driven by entrepreneurs as a result of the rapid changes in technological advancement and innovations.

As part of the programme, an exhibition was held to showcase an array of products by exhibitors which some gave vivid testimonies on wealth creation and business growth.
