The Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LiSAG) has officially inaugurated its new ultra-modern head office, “The LiSAG House,” situated in the hearts of Accra, Labone, Accra.

This state-of-the-art facility is set to become a central hub for collaboration, innovation, and professional development among its members, fostering growth and support within the surveying profession.

Representing the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, Hon. Francis Manu-Adabor, MP for Ahafo Ano South East, lauded the leadership of LiSAG, particularly President Samuel Larbi Darko and the property committee, for their dedication in bringing the LiSAG House project to fruition.

He emphasized that the new facility symbolizes LiSAG’s commitment to advancing the surveying profession and contributing to national development.

Hon. Manu-Adabor highlighted that the inauguration of the LiSAG House marks a significant milestone for the association, advocating for the integration of modern technology and innovation in their operations.

He encouraged the use of advanced tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), drones, and GPS for cadastral surveys and land management to enhance accuracy and service delivery.

Acknowledging the government’s efforts in digitizing land administration under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s leadership, Hon. Manu-Adabor urged LiSAG to continue embracing digital transformation to improve efficiency, reduce land disputes, and make land records more accessible to the public.

He also stressed the importance of continuous professional growth and branding for licensed surveyors, noting their crucial role in national development, from supporting infrastructure projects to assisting private developers and traditional authorities in land-related matters.

In an interview, LiSAG President Surv. Samuel Larbi Darko cautioned the public against unlicensed and untrained surveyors posing as professionals under the names of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) and LiSAG.

He advised individuals seeking surveying services to consult the Land Commission for a licensed surveyor. Surv. Larbi Darko emphasized that the LiSAG House is not just a headquarters but a symbol of unity, ambition, and a shared vision for the future of licensed surveyors in Ghana.

He also commended the Survey and Mapping Division (SMD), the Land Commission, and the Property Committee, particularly Chair Mr. BB Acquah, for their outstanding contributions to the project’s completion.

The LiSAG House, which represents a significant investment, features a reception area, conference hall, boardroom, welfare office, administrative office, washrooms, kitchen, server room, and offices for the president, vice president, financial secretary, and other key personnel.
