‘Do not take NDC’s victory for granted’ – Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has warned fateful of his party against complacency in the upcoming general elections.

He entreated supporters of the NDC not to conclude that the NDC had won the elections already and hence would not participate in the elections.

“I have also come here to remind you that you shouldn’t take NDC’s victory for granted”, Mr Nketia said when speaking at a rally in Logba Lakpeti in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region.

He advised NDC supporters to ensure they cast their ballot on December 7th and convince their households to do the same, to help the NDC to convincedly with the elections.

“Because if everybody around you is saying we will vote for NDC. If you are not careful you will go to the farm and say that my one vote doesn’t count, I want to remind you that your one vote counts and let us strive to maximize our votes in our strongholds”, he stressed.

Mr Nketia stressed that the NDC would construct the Eastern Corridor Road, which he described as a “game changer”, to increase commerce in the area to bring rapid development.

“So, bring us back, let us complete the road and I can assure you that is the game changer which is going to open up all the communities along the Eastern Corridor Road from Pusiga to Tema”, he concluded.

The Volta Regional NDC Chairman, Mawutor Agbavitor re-echoed the NDC’s vision to establish a Farmer’s Service Center – a one-stop centre for farm inputs, the Women’s Bank and implement the acclaimed 24-hour Economy Policy.

He urged fateful in the area to embark on door-to-door campaigns and spread the good works of John Mahama and the NDC.

He led the fateful to pledge their commitment to working for the party to enable it to win the parliamentary and presidential elections.

The Afadzato South NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Frank Afriyie recounted the development projects undertaken by the opposition party in the constituency and urged the residents to continue supporting the NDC.

He called on the electorates in the area to give the NDC 100% of the total votes.

“On December 7th, let us all come out and vote before we go to our farms because if we don’t come to power, Ghana is heading into a big ditch”, he said.

The Chief of Logba Alakpeti, Togbe Adza Adiaku V reaffirmed the area’s affiliation with the NDC and lauded the NDC’s proposed policies.

“I believe that the NDC is the most attractive political party in Ghana today and your good works will prove the way for victory in the 2024 elections. This is very clear for all to see but let us do things peacefully.

“Furthermore, the policies and programs that you have outlined for the country are credible and impactful. We fully buy into them, especially the 24-hour economy policy”, he stressed.
