The Phobians have not been at their best as the club’s following would want despite losing only two games in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The 21 time Ghana champions have played 11 games in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, recording four wins, five draws and just two defeats.

Their defeats have come against AshantiGold in a 2-0 score line at the Len Clay Stadium and a 1-0 loss to Medeama in an outstanding week six fixture at the Akoon Park.

The Phobians have one outstanding match against arch rivals, Asante Kotoko to clear with the game set to be played in February.

Coach Samuel Boadu’s side currently have collected 17 points from 11 games and they sit 7th on the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League table.

Coach Samuel Boadu has been struggling to find a perfect replacement for former midfielder, Benjamin Afutu who left to Egypt.

The only proper ball destroyer left in the squad is ABU Ushau with Salim Adams, Caleb Amankwah normally used in a makeshift role.

Former midfielder, Emmanuel Nettey was normally used in a defensive position as well but has also left to join Iraqi club, Duhok SC.

Coach Samuel Boadu is therefore considering Abdul Aziz Nurudeen to fill the void created by the departure of Benjamin Afutu Kotey.

Nurudeen has recovered from a long injury layoff and is rating to go for the 2000 CAF Champions League winners.

The second transfer window in Ghana will officially be opened in the first week of February with the Phobians expected to register the dreadlocked midfielder.
