Akufo-Addo government is Family & Friends-NDC

In the wake of accusations of family and friends government, the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released names of family and friends appointed by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The number of these people according to NDC is over fifty (50) including the entire nuclear family of his Executive Secretary, Nana Asante Bediatuo.

Making these revealtions at the party’s Moment of Truth press conference on Tuesday, National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, indicated that, the parents as well brother and sister are all part of the Akufo-Addo government.

Therefore described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo as the “most nepotistic leader in the world”.

Some of the surfacing names of Ministers who are immediate family members of the President includes the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta; Roads Minister, Mr Amoako Atta and Works and Housing Minister, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea.

These Ministers mentioned above are all occupying key positions in his government.

According to the Communications Officer, after meticulous investigations into appointments made by President Akufo-Addo since the year 2017, they the NDC can boldy submit that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is the most nepotistic government in the sixty-two-year history of Ghana and can “dare say the world”

“Even Idi Amin Dada – the Butcher of Uganda, Jean-Bedel Bokassa and Mobutu Sese Seko – the looter of Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) will envy President Akufo-Addo’s unprecedented brand of nepotism and clannism,” he stressed. 

Meanwhile, government has severally denied the opposition NDC consistent accusations that, the Akufo-Addo government is the most nepotistic government in the history of Ghana.
