In his quest to be a Member of Parliament ( MP) to serve mankind, the Executive Officer of the Coastal Development Authority (Coda), Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has submitted his nomination form to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries in the Weija-Gbawe constituency.
Before submitting his nomination forms on Monday, 25th December 2023, lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib contested the Ablekuma South constituency seat in the 2016 General Elections on the ticket of the NPP but lost to Alfred Okoe Vanderpuye of the NDC.
This time around, he is confident and undeterred in his pursuit to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Tina Gifty Ayeley Mensah.
Handing over his filled nomination forms along with the required filing fee, at the Weija Gbawe constituency office of the NPP, Jerry Ahmed Shaib assured the Chairman of the Elections Committee, Mr. Yaw Amakrah of a campaign devoid of insults.

He indicated that he would ensure his campaign is conducted humanely with no attacks and insults on his opponent.
“The honorable chair and the Constituency Elections Committee ( CEC) members, I thank you for this opportunity and I thank you for accepting my form as a representative this morning. I’m very sure about one thing and sure to the extent that we going to conduct our campaign in a very fair manner, with no insults whatsoever. And I’m going to tell my supporters out there to maintain the same standards”
“ I can assure you that we will finish with this competition and it will be one constitution, one NPP. We are not going to cause any problems, we are not going to cause any issues whatsoever. What we can only tell you is that we are going to keep to your advice and we come back to you with victory”, he reiterated.
Meanwhile speaking to urged supporters at the Constituency Office, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib emphasized his commitment to the party’s ideas and expressed his readiness to enhance the Development and growth of the Constituency.

“As an advocate for empowering individuals and businesses, I will champion Weija-Gbawe’s development for the greater Development”, he assured.
The upcoming primaries slated for 27th January 2024 will feature Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib and the incumbent Deputy Health Minister, Hon. Tina Gifty Ayeley Mensah.
