NDC Parl. Primaries:”It is time to liberate Dome-Kwabenya”-Parliamentary Aspirant Elikplim Akurugu

The constituents of Dome-Kwabenya has been called upon to rally behind the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to werstle for the parliamentary seat from the ruling party, New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This call was made by Mrs. Elikplim Akurugu, a parliamentary aspirant when he submitted her nomination forms at the Constituency party office at Dome-Kwabenya in the early hours of today.

According to her, it is time to liberate Dome-Kwabenya from the quagmire of the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and her incompetent president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.

The current Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency as Hon. Adjoa Safo who doubles up as the Deputy Majority leader as well as Minister of State for procurement.

Speaking to the media briefly after her submission, she acclaimed, “I know many of you have been disillusioned and frustrated, but I’m here to bring hope to the hopeless, renewed faith in political leadership to those who doubt and empowerment to the helpless”.

To her, she joining the race is to unite and change the course of Dome-Kwabenya believing that, together they can begin and finish the work that will being victory to the NDC in the Constituency.

The aspiring lawmaker assured the teeming supporters gathered at the party office that, she is and willing to work with everybody in her quest to address the numerous challenges in the Constituency.

“I will provide leadership that ensures that, central government and our municipal assembly deliver our fair share of the national cake to improve infrastructural development within the Constituency”, she emphasized.

Victory of the NDC, she said is coming “not on the weakness of our opponents, but on our strength”, Mrs. Elikplim Akurugu hinted.

Meanwhile, receiving her nomination forms at the party office, the secretary assured her of a fair playing ground from the leadership of the party as well wished her well in her endeavour to lead the party to victory come 2020 general elections.
