Ex-Ghana international, Charles Taylor has tipped Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum as the best man to help the dwindled fortunes of the Black Stars.

With the final 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier up in March against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Charles Taylor believes Prosper Narteh, formerly of West Africa Football Academy will do a good job.
“I have always said that, no expatriate [coach] can help us in Ghana. “Because expatriate Coaches cannot lay their philosophies to the local players because of the language barrier.
“Most of the local players, I’m sorry to say do not understand the English language and that could be a disadvantage to the local players.
“So the local coaches can help us a lot. “I feel the coach that can help the Black Stars is Prosper Narteh Ogum of Asante Kotoko.
“Because he has groomed young players for sometime now so he knows his players very well.
“These are the type of coaches we should have in Ghana and not coaches who invite players that have scored just two goals elsewhere into the Black Stars.” Charles Taylor told Ebusua fm.
Taylor, 40, is one of the few Ghanaian players to play for both Ghana giants, Hearts of Oak Asante Kotoko – winning their 2000 CAF Champions League with the former. He spent two season with Accra Great Olympics before joining city rivals, Hearts of Oak.
