Election 2024: Let us play according to the rules – National House of Chiefs Prez urges politicians

President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, has admonished stakeholders in the upcoming elections to ensure the process is fair to consolidate the peace the country is enjoying.

He says as the nations enters into a vital element of its democratic governance, there are high stakes involved, and has entreated that a fair process be dispensed to all parties to make the election a peaceful one.

The Paramount chief of the Sefwi Anwhiaso Traditional Area, was speaking as Chairman for the grand durbar of the Ada Asafotufiami –the firing of musket festival 2024 –at the Presbyterian School park at Bana in Ada Saturday, August 03, 2024, .

“2024 is an election year, and it is my prayer that we play a according to the rules and to have a fair and transparent elections,” he stated.

Ghana goes to the polls on Saturday, December 07, 2024 to elect parliamentarians and a new President as the term of office of both the President and the 8th Parliament ends in December 2024.

The theme for the 87th edition of the festival was: Upholding the discipline of our forebears as a tool for the sustainable development and unity of Ada.
