Nsoatreman FC head coach Yaw Preko is determined to avoid conceding any goals in their upcoming second-leg clash against Elect-Sport FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.
This follows an impressive 3-0 victory in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach Preko expressed his pride in his team’s performance, noting that they could have scored more, particularly in the second half.
“I’m very proud. We should have scored more especially in the second half. We lost a bit of balance and the substitutions didn’t help. It’s our first [game], and to get three goals here, I’m very proud of the boys. There is more to come,” he remarked.
Looking ahead to the second leg, the coach emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and keeping a clean sheet to ensure progression.
“It’s in the pocket. Just not to concede. That’s all. All we need to do is not to lose focus. We know we have what it takes to hurt them. We have the three goals, and we have to make sure not to concede, and then we see how it goes,” he added.
The reverse fixture against Chad’s Elect-Sport FC is scheduled for Saturday, August 24. Nsoatreman FC will be aiming to build on their first-leg success and secure their place in the next round of the competition.
