World Vision Ghana has bid farewell to its first female National Director, Laura Cristina Del Valle, after 16 months of visionary leadership.
Laura’s tenure was marked by significant achievements, including strategic partnerships with EIB Network, Goldfields Foundation, and Vivo Energy, as well as sponsorship of the 13th All-African Games in Accra.
Under her leadership, World Vision Ghana earned the CIMG Non-for-Profit Organization of the Year 2023 and other CSR awards, solidifying its credibility and commitment to the communities it serves.
With nearly 30 years of experience in humanitarian work, Laura served in various roles at the European Union, Plan International, and World Vision Latin America.
“Laura’s leadership has inspired lasting change,” said World Vision Ghana staff. “We express deep gratitude for her transformative tenure.”
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, a Master’s in art, and a doctoral degree in leadership, with specialized training in NGO management and business coaching.
A champion for children’s rights, Laura envisioned a world where children thrive, free from fear and violence, promoting their well-being and empowerment.
Jean-Claude Mukadi, Senior Director of Operations for World Vision West Africa Region, assumes the role of interim National Director.
