The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has officially inaugurated its Ladies Network Scheme, themed ‘Together We Rise: Empowering Women, Elevating Lives.’

This initiative is dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment through education, awareness, skills development, and the establishment of equal opportunities within society.

Its primary objective is to enhance the status of women by promoting literacy, improving livelihoods, and providing professional training.

The GIMPA Ladies Network aims to offer support, mentorship, and partnership opportunities that motivate women to aspire to greater achievements and realize their full potential.

In an interview with The Independent Online, Dr. Victoria Kunbour, the Institute’s Secretary, emphasized that the network’s mission is to cultivate a robust and supportive community that facilitates both the professional and social advancement of women.

She reiterated that the network will initially focus on internal activities, such as workshops and seminars, with plans to collaborate with other women’s organizations in the future.

Dr. Kunbour also pointed out that the launch coincided with Mother’s Day, highlighting the essential role women play as caregivers in society.

She recognized the emotional and financial difficulties many mothers encounter and encouraged them to remain steadfast.

‘The value of the children we raise is significantly influenced by our efforts and the support we receive,’ she remarked.

“I urge all mothers to stay resilient and encourage everyone to honor their mothers with a special gesture this Mother’s Day”, she noted.

The GIMPA Ladies Network is anticipated to evolve into a dynamic platform for promoting gender equality and empowering women both within the institute and in the broader community.

The launch coincides with Mother’s Day, highlighting women’s essential roles and challenges.
