“I can’t reject the Black Stars job if given the chance” – Prosper Narteh Ogum

Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum says he cannot turn down the duty to coach the senior national team, the Black Stars when the need arises.

The former West Africa Football Academy coach has steered Asante Kotoko to the top of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League after the first round with 36 points – six better than second place Bechem United and an outstanding game against rivals, Hearts of Oak on February 20.

Hearts of Oak’s board member, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe in an interview on GTV SportsPlus, picked the lecturer as his preferred choice for the topmost coaching job in Ghana.

Coach Ogum in a response says he will always be available for national duties. “I mean it’s national call and when the day comes and I’m available, I think once it’s national duty, we will all rise up to the call.” Prosper Narteh told StarTimes.

The Ghana FA and the Sports Ministry held a meeting org the latter calling for the review of the then Milovan Rajevac led technical team and the reconstitution of the management committee.
