The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Mohammed Adamu Ramandan is optimistic about retaining the Parliamentary seat for the main opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, though his party is in opposition, he has supported his constituents in diverse ways in his quest to serve them.

This he reiterated though not all his constituents would appreciate his good works, he was confident that, his numerous developmental works would pave the way for his constituents to retain him as MP for the second time to continue his developmental and good works for the Constituency.

“I know that not all my constituents would be satisfied with my work but am confident that the efforts my office has made since 2021 are quite remarkable and would be appreciated by my constituents”, he noted.

Adding that he gave his all for the constituency while in opposition as a first-time MP.

The Adentan Constituency Member of Parliament, Mohammed Adamu Ramandan made these remarks during a separate inauguration of computer laboratories for the Nii Sowa Din Cluster of Schools, and the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic (R/C) Basic School in his constituency on Monday, 19th February 2024.

The laboratory at the Nii Sowa Din School is equipped with 35 new desktop computers, and a teacher’s board desktop to facilitate the practical teaching and learning of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and other ICT-related subjects, as well as promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education while that of the Holy Rosary R/C school has 15 new desktop computers.

On her part, the Adentan Municipal Director of Education, Gifty Mussey, expressed gratitude to the MP for his timely support to improve the teaching and learning of ICT in the constituency.

She explained that over the years, there had been ICT competitions among schools in the constituency but most government schools in the constituency fell short due to a lack of practical skills with the computer.

Therefore commissioning of the two labs would now position the two schools to improve their performance in ICT teaching and learning and be able to compete in any ICT competition in the District.

Meanwhile,  ten (10) constituents received brand new laptops from the Adentan MP after writing to his outfit for laptops to aid them in their education and work.

The gesture the MP noted was to help bridge the gap between the theory and the practical aspect of Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) in government schools in his constituency.

Mr Ramadan will be contesting the parliamentary election on December 7 with Akosua Manu who is contesting on the ticket of the ruling party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the first time.
