The Integrated Center for Employable Skills, ICCES opens a new training
center at Atomfourso near Seikwa.
The center would train youth in employable skills so they have access to job opportunities.
The Institute under the initiative of the chief of Atomfourso Nana Ekye known in private life as Thomas Nsowah-Adjei, says the initiative shall see training of the
teaming youth in the area made
up of mostly school drops.
Research by local and foreign institutions revealed that the area tops among the communities in the country with huge number of youth migration to Libya
where they search for non-existing jobs.
In all, 19 youth have enrolled as pioneers who are to undergo three-year training.
Building and Construction,Masonry, and Tailoring are some of the programmes available at the institution.
The Chief, Nana Nsowah Adjei said he was motivated to establish the school as a result of the passing of one of his students at the Sahara Desert while crossing itinto Libya.
He was grateful to the Tain District Assembly, the entire Assembly, the Assembly member of the Atomfourso Electoral Area, the chiefs and people and
the chiefs for the support.
Nana Nsowah-Adjei said, he is ready
to release land for permanent campus and appealed to government, NGOs to come to their aid by providing teaching
and learning materials including working tools.
