Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has issued a stern warning to rivals, Asante Kotoko ahead of their week seven clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians host their bitter rivals in the outstanding fixture to wind down the first round of matches for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak have not been themselves this season having won the treble last season under Samuel Boadu.
The have managed to secure six victories, six draws and four losses enroute to clocking 24 points from 16 games.
The sit on the 8th spot with their rivals, Asante Kotoko having a good run this term. The Porcupine Warriors have been the best side where they have claimed 11 wins, three draws and just two draws from 16 games.
They have 36 points seated on top of the league log and are 12 points above Hearts of Oak.
That impressive results however does not seem to shake Coach Samuel Boadu who is ready to face his rivals sternly.
“We don’t care whoever we are playing with but just that it’s a competition. “We are competing with all the clubs so we correct our mistakes and we work extra hard to play the Kotoko’s match.” Samuel Boadu told StarsTimes.
Hearts of Oak have won the Ghana Premier League 21 times with their 21st title coming last season alongside the MTN FA Cup and an automatic annexation of the Super Cup.
Asante Kotoko are looking to break an eight year league trophy drought and will look to have a strong go at the title this season after losing out to rivals last season.
Hearts of Oak have a record 11 FA Cup titles as against their rivals, Asante Kotoko’s nine trophies.
